  • While schools are preparing our kids academically and doing their best to support the emotional needs of our children, skills for coping with emotions like sadness, anger and worry are not part of the school curriculum. As parents, we may feel ill-equipped at times to help them with their big emotions and the difficult things they say about themselves. What if there was a way to get that information without having to spend hours reading and talking to professionals? This 30-page guide serves as a tool for parents to better understand some of the challenges children may face with strong emotions and the way they see themselves, while also providing information, tips and strategies from the latest research on what actually helps children to develop true confidence in themselves and cope with difficult feelings. You’ll also find many wonderful resources (eg. book recommendations, videos, websites, podcasts, etc.) to help you along the way as well as creative activities you can do at home with your child to foster healthy self-esteem and develop emotional regulation skills.
